Job Description
The Vipers are looking for a performance artist who wants to become one of our mascots while encapsulating the fun of playing basketball.
We are seeking a performance artist to join us in creating an exciting character for our team that will engage with fans, both young and old, as Medusa, the Gorgon. The artist will need to be in costume and promenade the concourse area before and during home games, taking pictures with fans while in character and having them shared on social media. Several media campaigns will be produced around the character for sponsors.
Responsibilities

Insure that the necessary equipment is available for fan engagement at games and your performances.

Assume the moniker of "Medusa" for all home games at the Vipers home venue.

Engage fans and media by posing for pictures before and during events, with an outgoing personality.

Participate in marketing initiatives that support increasing live event attendance.
Qualifications

If you are a college student, you may be able to receive academic credit.

Ability to work with coaches and players and maintain professional relationships.

Must be a team player and work well in groups.

Must be comfortable both on the phone and in face-to-face meetings, be highly energetic and career driven

Must be willing to attend networking functions, social events, luncheons, etc.

100% professional, smart, flexible, and reliable.

Ability to work flexible hours, some nights and weekends for events.

Will be required to complete medical and compliance clearance checks prior to starting.
The artist will be paid for the season, and will be consulted on the costume design.
